I knew quite a few people in this wedding from my karaoke days, especially the groom. He and his family used to come out every Friday for karaoke. Having seen Brian sing Bon Jovi songs quite a bit, I was not surprised to see that their introduction and first dance songs were Bon Jovi. Naturally later in the night I played "Living on a Prayer" which got a great reaction.

Later on in the night, someone requested that I play "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" by the Dropkick Murphys. I had to think about that one because I never had a request for it before. A couple of other people came up and requested it, so I mixed it in with my rock set, and it worked great.

There were some kids there as well. One of them came up to me and asked me for Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me," which I was all too happy to play. Very polite kids. I love kids anyway, since I have 10 nephews and 2 nieces of my own. The bride and groom asked me to play "The Chicken Dance," which worked great for this group, especially with the kids.

The last three songs of the night were Edwin McCain's "I Could Not Ask For More," "Sweet Caroline" and "I've Had the Time of My Life." Very strong ending to a really fun wedding reception.
